By any other name.

Naming characters is a bitch. Well, for me anyway. I put way too much thought into it. God forbid you make a character you end up having to draw a million times and you end up hating the name though. 'Cause then it's there forever, taunting you.
I try to avoid using names that people I know have, but really it's kind of pointless to do that. I've known way to many Mikes to strike it from the list. The world needs Mikes. That's a scientific fact. A world without Mikes is hardly a world at all. The thing is I always fear that they're going to think it's some kind of reference to them. Then if they hate the character they'll always be like "why did you name that shitty character after me"? And I'm like "Dude (or girl dude as the case may be.) I totally didn't", but then you wonder if they believe you. I wonder if I'm the only person who stresses over this stuff so much.

And when the end times come, everything we think we know will be proven wrong... and the Suffering we all feel inside will show itself in the rape of the people.

That's true. If you start with a name it's much easier.

Years ago, when I worked in a bookstore, I nearly bought one many times but never convinced myself to. I don't think I need to worry about making my parents worry about potential babies.

V. is from his own book by the same name. The others are from The Crying of Lot 49 and Gravity's Rainbow. Besides being from the same author, they really have no connection.

Surprisingly, in my area, Chris seems to be uncommon. The most common in my area are Mikes, Brians, and Johns. In about that order.

Man, I have known me some Brians. I even knew 3 Brians who lived in a single apartment, once upon a time.
